a strong Senior Perl Programmer with Oracle or SQL Server exp for a contract
opportunity.
Our client has offices all over the world and has the global reach, advisory
services and distribution power to meet the needs of issuers and investors
worldwide.
Job Title: Senior Perl Programmer with Oracle or SQL Server exp.
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 12 months+
Job Description:
The MAPI team is on the front line, working very closely with the
Quantitative Analytics (QA), Research, Strategy and Trading desks. The
stakes of the projects being worked on are high and the technical problems
being tackled are very challenging. For the right candidate, this is a great
opportunity to get into the core of data for residential and commercial
mortgage business.
Main Duties:
The candidate will be responsible for managing and building the data behind
the Securitized Products analytics engine. Work will be in Linux.
Securitized Products is a very data-intensive environment, where large
amounts of data being handled. Development and design work in this role has
to be cognizant of the systems performance, throughput and resource
consumption.
Job Responsibilities:
· The mortgage data team of Risk and Analytics Securitized Products
group is responsible for the preparation and mining of mortgage remittance
data.
· We are looking for a talented and energetic developer with
Database experience. Knowledge of SQL queries, perl and Linux shell
scripting is a must.
· Knowledge of either SQL Server or Oracle DB Server is required.
· Knowledge of SAS is a plus.
· Some C++ knowledge is also a plus.
Required Skills:
· PERL Programmer with exp with working with Databases (Either SQL
Server or Oracle, preferred both).
· Business exp (MBS) a plus.
· Autosys/SAS is useful, not mandatory.
· 3 years of experience with databases is a must (SQL Server or
Oracle).
· Experience with Perl and Linux shell scripting is must.
· Experience maintaining and managing batch process and Autosys is
considered valuable.
· Knowledge of SAS is a plus.
· Prior experience managing Securitized Products data, knowledge of
intex and intex data, EMBS data is a big plus.
