Q33 has two stops within LGA(and perhaps one more stop just at the gate,
ignorant it if it has). I took several times AirTran, so got off at second,
which also final, stop. The bus will then stay there for about 20 mins.
However, it seems Northwest is at the first stop, which need you double check.

I went to Roosevelt Ave. yesterday by No. 7 train, and felt a little scared
walking there, don't know why. And I feel that Q33 runs very slow at that
area, probably because of the narrow streets. Maybe I'll still take the
airport bus from grand central terminal, since I'll have to catch the early
flight.
