Does it matter when you are asking directions or asking how to take subways?
I lived in Chicago, Milwaukee, Ft Lauderdale, Los Angeles, Raleigh before. Only New Yorker are paying so much attention to your dress. Miami and LA 是时尚之都，也不是这样的。。
甚至有朋友不愿意逛街时和我平行走。。。

people who dress nicely, usually have shit to do. they are probably running
around feeling crazy. when i dress nicely, i either have to go to work, come
home after work (means i am tired), or going to parties. |
