Huntington
Dix Hills
You can take train from Huntington Station to Penn, it's about 45 mins train
ride. From these towns, your LP can get on LI Expressway quickly. These
towns also have excellent schools.

Island Express. How about Central Islip?

even safe.
If you don't have kids and plan to live cheaply for now until you find your
dream house, you can look at the nearby town Deer Park.

temporary job. So we are not planning to buy a house there.
What's better in Deer Park than Central Islip?

place during the day and night. If you feel comfortable, go for it.
Personally I would never live there even if you pay me.
CI has many Section 8 buildings, plus tons of illegal hispanics. I stopped
by at one of the CI's supermarkets one time, people in front of me all paid
with food stamps.
Violent crimes happen in CI daily. You don't even read it in Newsday anymore
because it happens so often.
Deer Park is a solid working middle class town. It's much nicer. More
importantly it's safe for you and your family.

dangerous place to live in. Don't ever live there unless you have no other
choice. |
