呢? 还得考虑孩子上小学的学区。面试时感觉那边消费好高，真的和中部农村的不是一
个级别的。

看来要赶紧找房子了。不知比起 St. Louis 的8万5 年薪的生活，哪种日子更好过些呢？

They are mainly white ppl with median income well over 100K.
It gets cheaper as you go more north, but I don't know those places.

Ossining is ranked the #2 best community to live in Westchester by
Westchester Magazine, based on criteria such as Diversity, Housing Costs,
Parks & Recreation, Property Tax, Proximity to NYC, Safety, Schools,
Proximity to Water, Nightlife, Shopping, and Downtown.

面试时面试官也和我讨论在哪租房子的问题了。他说也可以考虑CT 州的房子，房价只
有Valhalla 的1/3， 财产税也少得多。我想房租应该也会低很多吧。
刚开始从学校转入工业界，还没有能力考虑买房子。

看Pennysaver找到一间大房间，几百元的房租。周末坐
火车去纽约玩儿，很方便。 |

Greenwich & Stamford are even more expensive. For towns further out, you
should ask the CT board.
In addition, you may hit daily traffic commuting from that side.
The towns mentioned below have very easy commute to your work. Also, it
would be a easy ride to NYC.

发帖数: 43 | 15 太感谢您的建议了。看来NY真的消费太高了。我未来工作是PepsiCo 公司的Sr.
Research Scientist position。即使在这么大的公司工作看来生活也不容易。还得考
虑考虑是否该接另外一个Offer了。

For Ossining,Tarrytown & Sleepy Hollow, I see house listings for 200K to
300Ks. Some even got water views.
The main question is your career prospects. Pepsi is a well known brand.
However, if the other company is comparable, then you should think about it. |
