右盼，却寻不到如意郎君，岑小姐说，她不知道是求偶标准订的太高，还是缘分不到，
反正身边“同命相连”的姐妹数量直线上升。海外“剩女”群体壮大趋势正有压过“剩
女”发源地中国大陆的势头。
“剩女”一词来源于大陆的年轻人网路，在大陆已经流行了两三年时间了，专门指那些
出生在70年代末期、学历高、收入高，甚至自身外貌条件也较高的一群单身女性。她们
在左挑右选中就跨过了30岁的门槛，身边的男人不是已经娶妻生子，就是正在和年轻的
女性恋爱，唾手可得的优秀男人少之又少。
这种状况在大陆已经较为严重，而对于在海外奋斗的30岁左右的华裔女性来说，更可谓
严峻。由于交友圈子有限，移民生活压力颇大，根本无法把所有的精力都投入恋爱和婚
恋之中，她们没有《欲望都市》中熟女的精彩人生，有的更多是在工作、绿卡、前途等
各种移民烦恼的夹缝中，求不到一个伴侣的“愁”。
据悉，纽约当地适合华裔单身女性参加的单身俱乐部并不多，很多是服务台湾移民群体
的，而对于很多大陆移民女性来说，和这些俱乐部的氛围有些格格不入。
多数大陆剩女是通过Facebook或者未名交友网站来互相联络的，认为条件相当的就约会
见面，多数不是以一对一的见面方式，而是以一个群体的方式。
一名叫作詹姆斯的40岁未婚ABC(美国出生的华裔)则报料说，崇尚单身主义的他最近感
觉成为很多大陆移民女硕士和女博士的“猎物”，在某些聚会场合，那些女孩的热烈程
度甚至让人他觉得呼吸不了。
因为中国大陆改革开放政策，70年代末期出生的一代成为吸收新鲜事物以及西方思想最
早期的一代，他们中的很多人在大学毕业后的2001年左右，走出了国门去海外求学，求
学路途漫漫，而这些人又没有如今一代人出国求学时候家庭富裕的经济后盾，于是在求
学打工的时候就蹉跎了青春和岁月。
“剩女”群体中的多数人不愿意选择回国求偶，这给自己的求偶道路等于又多设置了一
重障碍。然而，究竟是选择文化差异颇大的美国本地人、香蕉似的ABC、或者同样在异
乡奋斗的韩国人、日本人，乃至印度人……再或者是同样没有获得永久居民身分的大陆

意欣赏，说到发展关系接下来做爱然后确定男女朋友关系，在接下来结婚生子。想想就
感觉无趣，浪费时间和精力。难道就不能有纯炮友关系么？ 干嘛一定要谈婚论嫁？ 而
且现今的美国法律制度对向离婚中的女性绝对倾斜的政策极不公平。不是说男女平等么？
所以宁可要炮友也不要结婚或者professiona优秀l男性绝不占少数。所以不提婚嫁，只

Marriage is also a market, and everyone is looking for a fair trade and a
right matching. A highly educated woman wants to find a man with similar
education background. But a highly educated man doesn't necessary want a
woman with similar education background. It's just like other goods in the
market ruled by the supply and demand...There is an economic professor who
did a PhD thesis on this marriage market topic.

I can only see a couple of reasons why only one guy show up - he organized
the gathering and only invited girls, or he got into a female only meet up
by accident.
Not saying that they will definitely find a good match, but there is a ton
of single guys and a bunch of players out there that goes to every meet up/
gathering.
Again, if these women want to meet good eligible men, go learn golf.

from talking is the right direction. If you close yourself and don't want to
talk, it's a problem not only with finding a right person, but also a
problem many other things in daily lives, like people around you, your co-

The male to female in golf is about 3:1.
Think of this, if a guy is married (especially w kids) or is in a
relationship, where do they find 5-6 hours a week (at least) to play (unless
it is a long distance relationship or his girl friend has a different
working schedule).
Also, you learn a lot about a man by the way he plays.
The other places you mentioned maybe good for ONS, but we are talking about
long-term relationship here.

You can look for ONS in those places, but young people want to meet friends

The guys that play during weekends are much younger than you think. And the
ones that are there every weekend are more likely not in a real
relationship than the guys in the other places you suggested.
Okay, your friend found MNS, but will that turn into a real long term
relationship?
Seen plenty of girls that go clubbing a lot that are still single or in a
relationship that is going no where.

That is my point, the Asian female golfer out there are more likely 2nd
generations. Many 1st generation don't have interest and are missing out.
If you spend 4-5 hours with 3 other persons (whom you already have a proper
introduction before tee off) on a golf course and can't start a conversation
, what makes you think that you can do that with a stranger elsewhere.

book) as a single and join other golfers that didn't have a foursome.
If you bring a friend, it is even better.
Yes, hiking or pick your own (i.e. cherry or peach) would be good as well -
but for that you need someone to organize it.
With golf, you just need to walk in with a golf set (or borrow from the club
) and a pair of golf shoes.
