发帖数: 1006 | 5 normally you don't prepare for the g/t test, that’s why they call it gifted
and talented class.
If the kid is not gifted and have to take all those pre tests to get in,
then he/ she will have a hard time keep up with other real gifted kids. |

发帖数: 96 | 7 补习来不及了，没有关心过这个，刚从外州搬来还不到一个月，昨天刚在教育局网上看
到这个，说是给新搬来的人考的（正常的春季就考完了），明天是报名的deadline,
july 8th 那个week 考，我也是瞎试试，估计我娃过不了，就想看看题，心里有个数。

发帖数: 972 | 11 这个有点象好学区的道理，一般作业多点，学习范围大点。同学基础好点，家长教育重
视点。

发帖数: 998 | 12 你们在哪个学区？city-wide基本没可能，DOE一般都多发一些通知书，就算少数几个人
不去，也不会再补。district G&T值不值就看你们自己学区了，同样通知书会多发一些
，好的也不会有很多人不去，差一些就算不去的人很多腾出位置，大多不在好的学校里
，或者在交通不方便的地方。
你们要是房子还没有订好，看看哪个好学校还有位置。这样如果GT没位置了，也不会不
得不去太差的学校。
至于prep，美国人一样prep，所以半个班都是prep的话大家都一样，没什么区别。另外
，做做样题，熟悉熟悉语言都不算prep。毕竟母语不是英语。 |

发帖数: 998 | 15 这是个争论问题，GT的学生比较‘整齐’，老师可以教的快一些，advanced的小孩不会
觉得无聊。当然一般作业也多一些。反方的说法是，没必要学那么快，放松些，多一些
时间用来玩。实际上，好的非GT学校的成绩和GT差不多（考虑到生源的区别甚至还要好
）。当然那些好的非GT学校作业也不少。
