screening ratio 1/270) and eventually decided to do it. It was done last
Thursday and today we just got the preliminary FISH result. The nurse said
the result indicates the baby has Down Syndrome. We haven't talked to our
doctor yet. I can't believe the result. I am thinking to do one more time
amniocentesis test, because it's possible the lab technician might have
misplaced the sample or done something wrong. Anyone knows how |

FISH报告不是100%准确，但是据说其不准确处在于可能false negative。
如果FISH说是有，那么那份样本应该就是有。
不过mm再等等full report吧。以前华人上有个mm的羊水是被lab弄错了样本（她的FISH
有基因缺陷，另外一个妈妈的full report有基因问题，最后才发觉其实FISH样本也是
另外一个妈妈的）
。。。问问那个lab那天一共收了几分样品？ |

反过来未必（唐氏不一定在FISH里显示出来），false negative是这个意思吧？
。。。。你说的那个是false positive吧。

point. Call your doctor. Talk to him/her before making any further decision
. The first thing is to make sure the lab didn't take the wrong sample.

则有99%,如不放心，可等全面报告出来看一下具体数值和结果。但关键是看你的时间，
不知你已经怀孕多少周了，如果再重新做一次羊穿，再加上等结果的时间，因为美国很
多州法律规定如果超过24周不允许进行任何流产手术，mm要理智来判断，有时现实是残
酷和难以接受，但科学的诊断结果还是能帮助提前预防和避免•••&

Actually I am going to do amniocentesis next week. My husband and I are

第一次在这个版上看到真的有人positive的。
这个检查是真的诊断检查。非常准确。像楼上说的，false negative的可能其实也非常
低，但是还有。比如试剂有问题，操作程序有问题等等都可以导致negative的结果。当
然一般不会，因为有positive control。
但是positive结果。。。还是等full report出来决定好了。可能不需要再做一次了，
看结果吧。但是应该跟医生，护士，实验室double check这个结果是否有问题。比如搞
错sample啥的。 |
