了urologist,urologist说男孩有一定的几率长好，但是女孩长好的可能性很小，我只
能安慰自己，我家是小子，一定会长好的。
现在每天要吃一定剂量的抗生素预防尿路感染，一旦感染了对肾的伤害很大，专家说我
们要定期检查，如果到三岁还不好就要做手术，不知道有没有妈妈知道这样的病例？我
们现在每天喂药也是折磨宝宝，可是其他什么也做不了。 |

果很好，小人自己长好了， 也就停了抗生素。 |

My son was also diagnosed with this problem when he was 3 months old.
Now he is 14 months, and he is still taking antibiotics. His reflux is
degree 4.
The urologist said we would consider the surgery after another ultrasound
and VCUG when he has 18 months old. |

my son's base temp is around 100.2. After reading some papers, we decide
that we are not going to put him on low dose antibiotics even if he had
degree 4 reflux, as a preventive measure. We will just be watching him more
closely.
It seems that use antibiotics to treat degree 4 reflux is also controversial
in the ped world, at least in literatures.

I actually asked doctors in China, France and USA, they all said it is
important to have antibiotics for avoiding kidney infections.

how do you know your son has reflux degree 4 if you refused the VCUG?
The procedure of VCUG is invasive: that's because they use a foley catheter.
I don't think this hurt at all. Your ped used a foley catheter
when he diagnosed the UTI, didn't he?
Each time when there is a doubt about the UTI, an insersion of foley
catheter might be cosidered, I think.
Actually, my concern about the VCUG is the X_ray.
But It is the only test that can diagnose reflux.

We does not know if he has reflux or not.
Personally, I don't even like the idea of catheter insertion. But we have to
do that to get a clean sample.
照影计was a bigger concern.
And after the VCUG, the only useful result that can come out is to put him
on low dose antibiotics, which we really don't like. So we decided that even
if he had level 4, we don't want to put him on antibiotics. We will just
keep a closer eye on monitoring his temperature ( esp his base is almost 1F
higher than usual ).
And we read a couple of papers on the topic, seems even in the literature,
to do the VCUG is controversal, and also the use of antibiotics.
It is a difficult choice to make. Even with Level 4 reflux, does not mean
the baby has an infection, it just means that it is more prone to infections
. Putting them on antibiotics all the time seems to be an overkill for me,
and antibiotics have many side effects. I don't know the impact of low
dosage, may be not matter that much. But after lots of struggle, I decided
not to.
For the record, I don't think I am really against antibiotics, I used them
when I am pregnant, because I have to. I suggest you talk to ped about your
concerns and go from there. |

小男孩如果得的话,大部分是结构上有问题,导致尿路返流,结构的问题导致会反复的尿
路感染
而且尿路感染有一定几率对肾造成破坏,这个一旦影响肾,不可逆转,所以长期用抗生素
预防是
有道理的.虽然抗生素有副作用,但是一旦肾受到破环,这个副作用比抗生素的副作用大
的多,
权衡利弊,一般医生会让你用low dose 抗生素预防

我家宝宝这开始吃Septra，才吃了几天，宝宝已经不配合了，看到我们拿droppler就开
始抵抗，昨天弄在米糊里给他吃，吐了，今天米糊也不吃了
跟这小人精有的斗争了 |

我每次一想到，接下来几十年，随随便便一点点小意外都会伤害我儿子

我们家的是肾积水加一侧输尿管扩张，
一直在吃抗生素，
做VCUG和NMR之前我都纠结了半天，觉得孩子太小了，
不想做，想着就是吃抗生素好了。
但是我发现长期吃抗生素也有问题，她的poopoo经常发酸发臭！是抗生素把她肚子里头
好的细菌杀死了。
所以我后来同意做VCUG和NMR了，如果没有问题我们就可以停了抗生素了。
但是我没有研究这两个procedure有什么副作用，真该打，应该看看的，那个VCUG到还
好，很快，NMR真是受罪啊，那个护士还找不到我家宝贝的血管，戳了好几针！至于照
影计，我就不知道有什么副作用了。
