Has been working as a RN on a Cardiac progressive care unit in a big
hospital since last Oct. I am thinking of pursuing a Master's degree in near
future.
I was a biomedical researcher, had 6 years of research experience complished
with several publications but never worked in a hospital before going to
the nursing program. My background is Master in Biology and BSN.
Does anyone have any suggstions about what major or progr |

发帖数: 634 | 2 just choose one you like and can afford. Generally your Bio master won't
help or hurt your future career goal unless you want to pursue a Phd in
nursing.
if you have green card or working permit, I suggest you to work 3 years as
RN before entering any MSN program. You will see the benefits when you
graduate from MSN.

我想很少人喜欢community health， gero之类的。
楼上说的好，可以工作的话先工作至少两年，再part time读MN好了。 |

immi. status is not an issue.
Would you PLEASE provide me a little more detailed info. re the benefits of
more years of RN experience? I am thinking of doing part-time MSN anyway.

有经验的申请MN总比没经验的申请来的强吧？
既然你要读part-time，工作一年之后就可以申请了。等你毕业的时候那点工作经验肯
定完全够用。 |

发帖数: 81 | 6 It depends on what you are interested in. If you like research, I think it
is very easy for you to apply for a program focusing on nursing research. As
I know, most universities will give financial support to you if you enroll
in such a program. If you like clinical practice, you can apply for a NP or
CNS or Anesthesia program. It is not difficult but some universities may
require 2 years of experience.
