Level I Trauma Center) is Baylor's teaching hospital. It is a county
hospital and many of its patients are uninsured or underinsured.
Methodist is a great place to work. I believe it has ranked the top 100
places to work in the U.S. for the past several years. I work at the CVICU
of this hospital. Very fast pace, lots of stress but a great place to learn.
Methodist is a transplant center for all solid organs except small bowels.
Last year, we did 144 lung transplants, ranking No1 in lung transplant vol.
in the nation.
Memorial Herrman is a Level I Trauma Center. It is also starting its
transplant program. It is one of the big names in the texas medical center.
St. Lukes Episcopal Hospital is another great place to work. Texas Heart
Institute is in St. Lukes. Therefore, its cardiovascular care is among the
best in the nation. It is also a major transplant center like the Methodist
hospital. However, St. Lukes is selling the hospital and Methodist is
considering purchasing it. Nothing for sure at this time.
MD Anderson is under UT. It is THE BEST cancer care center in the U.S. Great
benefits, pays well too.
Texas Children's Hospital-- pediatric patients.
VA Medical Center. Pays well. Bad staffing.
Kindred Hospital, a long term acute care hospital,
Some other smaller hospitals. Many many choices. | k*********i 发帖数: 183 | 5 I just realized that all the hospitals I named are in Houston. I know there
are many hospitals in other metros in Texas but I don't know the details. | t****b 发帖数: 695 | 6 谢谢,很详细有用。我也在考虑休斯顿。听说austin医院少 |
