2. 你显然不知道unprecidented可以是褒义的可以是贬义的. 而exceptional
只有褒义. 而按照西方表扬一方但不能贬低别人的说话方式, 是不合适
以奥委会的身份夸奖北京unmatched, 这样是会犯政治性错误的.
Rogge的本意,就是夸奖北京奥运无与伦比. 虽然字面上exceptional跟中文的
无与伦比表达的意思有一些差别.

首先字典不是法律，给出的解释是suggestion,不是definition.具体的意思必须根据常
用法和语境得出。
另外以下三个解释中，最接近罗格的意思是(2)，但是(2)翻译成中文后多了个常规的规
字，然后你根据这个规字得出结论就是exceptional是指规模上的大小，这就失之毫厘
谬之千里了。

an particular Olympic was the best one, it makes sense because the latest
one should always be the best one if everything went well. Notice he didnt
say it on the 1996 Olympic's closing ceremony due to all the dramas happened.
Oh well I guess it just different wording used by Rogge. |
