RCG PHD.
Based on current job market, new RCG has no any advantages to bugain, Intel
folks (especially hiring managers) have their own standard and they are very
clear with what your options are, if you will ask for more basepay,you
probably will lose stock, that is where the flebility come from. |

别（在group leader 之上），一个厂area manager不过才有五六个，所以grade 9 不

吗？”
其实只有真的去了Intel工作后估计再会真正意识到代价是什末。

如果我是fresh phd with 100k base,EB 2%.那么今年就应该是
EB=100,000*2%*4.2=8400$
这个理解对不对？

Otherwise, Intel will broke soon.... I hate to say this "not everyone has
been telling the truth, that is what caused confusion and misleading".
An American lady I met in coffee shop was braging about how great Intel is,
I was just simply told her "I used to work there too..." then she shut up.

你都不file tax return? 还是我对American income tax system理解有误。。。
Just checked mine it was taxed at 50% rate too...don't tell me that I can't get any of it back..

际税率大概也就20%。 |

is why Intel prefer to pay bonus instead of increasing the base salary.
I filled tax return through professional agency, and for the Intel salary,
still need to pay large amount of tax at the end of year. |

regular income (for most tax payers). The tax rate for bonus is not higher (
if it is higher, it only means the bonus boosts your total income into a
higher tax bracket.)

IRS withheld 50% from my relo bonus but in the end when I was filling out my
tax returns, that sum was lumped into my total salary and taxed the same as
the rest of my salary.
I think...I hope...EB bonus and such will be treated similarly.
BTW, to OnceUponATim, the loathsome tax should be blamed on Uncle Sam not Intel. One would be subjected to the same tax system anywhere in the United States.

though depending on the individual's experience and qualifications he/she
can receive a very attractive package.
For someone who wants to make more, I recommend they join Microsoft and
financial companies...

in Intel with PHD background, it is a good hint what you should expect there
(most of the PHD in Intel are doing particle reduction, and defect analysis
, very narrow field.)
Fab experience is a good experience, having a taste of real mass production
is helpful to R&D to realize what is practical and important to focus on.
However, I won't recommend to be in fab production for long, that will
damage your career development and personal life. Just a personal opion. |

公司资深technician lead还可以，但是不具有代表性。美国公司毕竟事业学历发薪水
的，technician的高薪大多是年头熬上来的。 |
