Let's end the year with the #5 toughest day hike in America.
23 miles, 10,400 feet elev gain. Suffering at its finest.
Sat 11/20 -- 3 AM
Palm Springs Art Museum

Expect to take 7 to 8 hours to get to Long Valley, which is about 10 miles with 8300' elevation gain. At this point you can take the tram down or continue on to the summit of San Jacinto.
Expect to take about 5 hours to get to the summit of San Jacinto and back to Long Valley where you can take the tram down.
Except members of previous C2C hike, Iron to Baldy traverse,this hike will be limited to those either I know or with recommendations from "old" hikers like Justin, Sanny, SeaDoo to ensure you can do this hike.
The training hike will be on first week of November. I'm thinking to go up on ski-hut to Baldy, Dawson, Pine,Wright then back to Baldy, 8000 ft gain. Any other suggestions are welcome.
Snow cancels this trip - If there is any snow along the Skyline Trail (between Palm Springs and Long Valley) this trip will be cancelled
Carpool arrangement will be made as the date near and the trip is confirmed.
