感恩节 - - 白山 winter hiking winter wilderness
今年特点，重强度，中危险度，1月中后规划两次华盛顿山。
参加条件，有一定户外基础，或者运动专长，热爱集体和愿意帮忙。
此外此冬天我们招募喜欢越野滑雪同学或对白水漂流爱斯基摩翻滚感兴趣同学。还有攀
岩的初学

我们打造的冬季skiing team 大概以winter wilderness为目标。目前我们刚刚筹到队
伍的最小要求，我们希望更多有能力同学加入。

BOSTON中国人流动性大，华人人口只有NYC/nj， 或南加 或北加， 1/8-1/10 。 招集
活动
不容易， 连爬山这么容易的活动， 华人公开小组几乎全部自生自灭，只有我们是幸存
者。

“BC skiing --skiing away from ski areas, off the beaten track, far from
the crowd -- has much more in common with early skiing than with today's
prepackaged, high-priced versions of the sport. You don't need a lift
ticket or a trail pas to go bc skiing. You don't have to use a certain type
of skis or a particular technique. Simply skiing into the winter landscape,
away from prepared terrain, on your own or with friends.
so with bc skiing. It is not synonymous with arduous expeditions in remote
regions, though they are a part of bc skiing. it is not a sports reserved
for superathletes, though they will find it endlessly challenging. bc skiing
is accessible to families, to children, to those who have spent their whole
lives skiing and to those who never saw a ski before the age of 40. the
essence of bc skiing is skiing on your own. you and winter. Your skis and
untracked, unprepared snow. It is definitely a state of mind you put on,
much as you put on your skis and boots. It is a state of mind composed and
of effort, of graceful movement, and of exploration. In this overexplored
world of ours, the winter bc is always fresh and unexplored because it's
always changing. each storm, each shift in temperature creates new terrain.
The bc -- mountains, forests, high plateaus -- has been renewing itsself
every winter beyond all memory. And as long as I can remember, skiers too
have been renewing themselves in this challenging, white enviroment.
There is no inherent virtue in a certain ski, a certain binding, a certain
turn. The complete bc skier makes them all his own, and ultimately sees both
equipment and technique as means to an end that old white magic. This is
what bc skiing is all about. Freedom, easy, graceful movement in a seemingly
surreal world where most people don't belong; a universe where the skier,
touched by a special grace, not only fits in but dances, as though the
winter landscape were the friendliest environment on earth. if fact, it can
be , but only the bc skier knows this. Only the bc skier can tap into the
full magic of the winter wilderness.
The skier has it all: rhythmic movement, rapid pace, ecstatic descents,
access to a world so potentially difficult to penetrate that it really doesn
't need wilderness designation to preserve its wilderness character-
uncrowded, snowbound, mysterious landscape of peaks and passes, forests and
fields before summer unlocks them the masses, all this and a solitude deep
