Too easy. I'm speaking based from my point of view and the reality that is
happening to my friends and other people I'm not well-acquainted but anyway
news spread fast from where I am so here's the most common reasons:
1. We grow up thinking that having a whiter skin makes you prettier so
almost all of the young girls prefer it than their skin colors. They believe
that the whiter the better and this applies to them liking white American
guys knowing that when they have their babies they will be white as well and
it's cuter. They need good-looking kids that they will raise in the US then
comes their teens they'll send back home so they can be local actors or
actresses.
2. We grow up watching American shows and movies so we are used to the faces
of Hollywood stars and have childhood crushes with them thus growing up
with western standard of physical beauty. (For most being black is ugly, (
this is rooted from history which I won't elaborate here) I was able to get
out of that state-of-mind when I was already in college. It was hard growing
up with TV ads showing lotions, soaps, etc. that can make you whiter and by
then that's the only time you'll be noticed or like by your crush BS.)
3. Money matters. Instantly when they see Americans they think of dollars.
They think it's their chance to get out of the country and be somewhere else
. Sometimes even if the girl isn't attracted to the guy her family will push
her so she can help her family financially.
4. There are some city girls that are already liberated who wants to take
pleasure in the next level and knowing that Americans are sexually active
they go for them.
5. They know that Americans are physically active too thus more fun,
travelling and other activities that they haven't done are possible with
them. American means a sense of adventure. |
