it from scratch just now. Summarize the detailed steps below. The
instructions are from the following links (their instructions are not as
detailed as mine below), and the instructions are for installing from
windows only.

below are my instructions:
1) First download tpcm7.zip and gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip

Uzip tpcm7.zip.
Note: do not unzip the zips under the Android folder inside the tpcm7.zip,
and do not unzip gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip!
2) Download and install webos quickinstall, which is to install the driver
for novacom.

3) Inside TP, turn on development mode: enter “webOS20090606” in the top
omnibox, and you can see the hidden app to turn on development mode. More
info is below

After all are done, restart TP to activate developer mode.
4) connect tp to pc using usb, and make sure pc has drivers of tp and can
see tp as an external usb disk.
Tip: when disconnect, do not use the usb icon in the right bottom tool bar,
instead, go to Computer, right click the tp disk, and select eject.
5) (option, not needed) Get familiar with TP webos doctor (in the tpcm7.zip,
the jnlp file). Use it restore your tp to default mode when your TP becomes
brick. It might be good if you try it once before you hit any problems
later.

6) 将TP挂载到U盘模式，在U盘根目录下新建cminstall文件夹,把4个ZIP文件in
android folder and gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip 全部放入其中;
7) 重启TP到刷机模式: restart (find system info in tp apps, and restart there
), and once restarted, the moment the screen is black, 按住音量+ & power
button 不放，直到屏幕显示U盘挂载的图标）;
8) 在PC上点击 开始-->运行-->输入CMD, 然后
go the unzip Android dir.
Then run:
novacom boot mem:// < ACMEInstaller
9) 到此全部操作完成，等待机子自己完成即可进入Android.
10) After Android is installed, it does not have market. U need to install
market
a) connect the TouchPad to pc via USB. Make sure "gapps-gb-20110828-signed.
zip" is under /cminstall. If it is gone, put it to tp again. Then turn off
the usb connection softly (physical connection is still there, but eject tp
from windows, and in tp, select disconnect usb, and tp is in control
afterwards).
b) in Android, long press power, select reboot.
c) when reboot, use volume up & down to select menus. Press down once to
select "ClockworkMod";
d) choose "install zip from sdcard", then choose "choose zip from sdcard";
e) find and select the "gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip" file you placed on the
Touchpad;
f) Google Market & apps will install;
AFter that, select restart, and use the default option to restart back to
normal android.
One android is installed, you can install apps either from market, or by
copy apk's from pc to android, and use file manager to select apks and
install. Or you can install 豆瓣荚 | l*******e
