动，然后我今天看见daycare 进门的地方有个teacher appreciation sign up,有些家
长把自己的名字写在前面，然后在后面写上例如donation， gift certificate, gift
card一类的东西。这啥意思啊？这是把自己要送啥先写清楚？然后再怎么弄啊？完全糊
涂了。
主要是前几天完全没意识到这是教师节，昨天晚上在版上看见帖子才开始抓瞎。今
早上去又一个能问的人都没碰到，只好到版上来求助了。各位有经验的给支支招啊，谢
谢了！ |

发帖数: 1363 | 4 I have never 送礼 on 教师节 in my 9 years with daycare. Also not in the 4 daycares we went through. The
current day care is trying this year, but I don't see any response from the
parents.
Typically, you send a gift at Chrstimas, since everyone is expecting that.
Other than that, they just do their job, I don't think we should encourage
the habbit to receive too many gifts :-).
At the graduation year end, I will send another gift.
of course it is up to you. Don't think gift will help the teacher treat
better to your kids though. A good teacher is always good,and a lousy
teacher is always lousy doesn't matter how much you gave them. |

参与这个抽奖的话，又不想捐奖品，你可以多买几张票，更直接地为学校捐款。
我们当年上的daycare，field trip的钱都不直接收，告诉一声建议交多少钱，收钱的
大信封钉门上，谁交没交，交了多少老师都不知道。 |

发帖数: 1363 | 7 in your case, since you just started, I would suggest you to skip it. You
don't even know the teacher...
next year, if you really like the teacher (some teacher is so good that you
kind of wanting to show your appreciation) then do it. If you are not sure,
send a tray of cookies for the teachers/kids :-)

发帖数: 115 | 8 美国时不时给老师送礼(圣诞节之类的）是社会习惯吗？我在中国念书从来没有给我任何老师送过礼物，但也有一些学生/家长是送的，但其实是不必要的。这和美国是否一样呢？

发帖数: 632 | 9 嗯，呵呵，我是个目的性很强的人啊，本来送礼就是为了能让老师更好地照顾我娃。如
果是匿名地，我肯定就不想送啦。我就是觉得这个gift raffle, 也不知道能不能让我
娃的老师抽到奖，抽到奖也不一定就是我捐的那个，甚至她都不知道我捐过礼物，那不
是白瞎吗。当然如果参加fieldtrip捐款，又是另说。
