or selflessness. It's a matter of taking life's bitterness head on or
swerving around in seeking a better life (as far as we could see at the time)
for ourselves. There is no fault in either, and both require courage and
wisdom.
There are so many inspirational people with birth defects out there. We all
know Hellen Keller. I recently found out about a professional storyteller
with a facial disfigurement, David Roche: http://www.davidroche.com/meet-david-roche/
He is amazing and happily married.
In the case of this baby, Christian, there may be more adversities ahead of
him, but at least he was born in the right country and the right time of our history.
If I were the mom, I would have choose to abort. But I would also donate my
time and money to care for babies with similar conditions, just to pay my

话),这对父母其实更难,孩子也更难。
