Bobo hates it when daddy and mommy have to leave for work or for study. This
evening Bobo was particularly angry. When daddy and mommy were ready to
leave home, Bobo kicked the door and blocked the door way.
Bobo, "Mom, see, you cannot leave."
Mom, "OK, I will stay today. But remember, I have stayed, not because you
were angry. It is too late for mom to go out today. Bobo, come and sit down,
let us talk."
Bobo smiled instantly and he was no longer angry.
Mom, "Bobo, remember when you brush your teeth and blow bubbles."
Bobo, "Yes, mom."
Mom, "Will a bubble you blow be there forever?"
Bobo thought for a moment and said, "No. It will pop up."
Mom, "Yes. See, your anger is like a bubble. Which color you dislike the
most?"
Bobo, "Pink! And blue is my favorite color!" *
Mom, "Yep. See, your anger is like pink bubbles. The thoughts of anger and
the thoughts of kicking the door rise like pink bubbles. Will these pink
bubbles last forever?"
Bobo paused and then said, "No. The pink bubbles will pop!"
Mom smiled, "Yes, they will pop."
Bobo "Mom, why do you say that even bad guys have God in their hearts?"
Mom, "Yes. God is in everyone's heart."
Bobo, "How about blue bubbles? What are they?"
Mom, "The thoughts about God, the thoughts about helping others."
Bobo, "Why are bad guys so bad?"
Mom, "When the bad guys have pink bubbles, they do not notice them. And they
were controlled by the pink bubbles and they keep blowing pink bubbles. The
bad guys end up with all the pink bubbles in their mind."
Bobo was silent for quite a while and then he yawned. The night was late and
Bobo was sleepy. After a long silence, Bobo whispered, "Mom, I want to have
many many blue bubbles in my heart." Then Bobo fell asleep.
* Right now Bobo thinks "pink is the most ugly color" and he knows Mom likes
the pink most. Apology for pink! |
