The SAT needs to be abandoned and replaced. The SAT has a status as a
reliable measure of college readiness it does not deserve. The College Board
has successfully marketed its exams to parents, students, colleges and
universities as arbiters of educational standards.
No scientist, engineer, writer, psychologist, artist, or physician—and
certainly no scholar, and therefore no serious university faculty member—
pursues his or her vocation by getting right answers from a set of
prescribed alternatives that trivialize complexity and ambiguity. |

to spend time and money on college or the tests/preps leading thereto, OR
if it means that you can THINK at a certain level and benefit therefrom. |

on group classes see an average increase of 250 points and students who
spend $2000-$5000 on private tutoring see an increase of 300-400 points.

这个我同意。所以有人评论SAT最新的改革，很大程度上是为marketing，因为ACT在抢
占SAT的市场份额。

到 ACT 的竞争影响，他们才改变的。
