•Specialized in aseptic techniques, media constituents and media

Merck's Protein purification group has an opportunity for a motivated summer intern. Our group is responsible for developing purification process for biotherapeutics.
The summer intern will join a team of scientists working on the development of late-stage protein purification process. The candidate will work closely with the supervisor to carry out and document the laboratory studies to support the development of storage options of biotherapeutics. The individual will be the part of team meeting and seminars during the internship period. Upon completion of internship, individual will present this work to protein purification group.
The position is located in Union, NJ for a period of 9-11 weeks, beginning in June 2011. Housing will be provided for students who meet the distance requirements. Occasional travel to our Rahway, NJ location will also be necessary.
