As Andy already mentioned, the difference between a RD-1 and RD-1s is purely
software! Confusing enough the Software version for the RD-1 and RD-1s are
DIFFERENTLY named (V2.0 versus V1.1 - if I remember correctly, so if you buy
a RD-1s it shows V1.1 but is identical to V2.0 for RD-1), although IDENTICA
L in functionality. Mechanically etc. the bodies are identical except the na
me tag.

Below is a list of new functionality you can expect from the RD1 firmware up
grade
- Pictures displayed on the LCD screen can be viewed at a greater magnificat
ion rate: Jpeg from x10 to x16 and RAW from x2 to x16.
- The Epson R-D1 default film can be set to 1, 2 or 3. Value 1 is Portrait m
ode. Value 2 is for Landscape shooting and value 3 is a night-view set-up.
- When shooting in Jpeg mode you can now select the colour space Adobe RGB.
- The new RAW + JPEG shooting mode simultaneously records the shot in two di
fferent files (Jpeg (H) and RAW) under the same file number.
- The quick view function allows the picture to be displayed on the LCD imme
diately after the shot is taken.
- The noise reduction for long exposure times reduces noise, after the shutt
er has been closed. On the Epson R-D1, the strong noise reduction set-up of
the film could be only operated for an exposure time above 2 seconds.
- A new CCD pixel defect correction function can be performed from the user
menu.
- Compatibility with Print Image Matching 3.
- The shutter remains usable even if the Epson R-D1 is set to playback mode.
- The auto white balance has been modified. The colour balance adjustment fo
r incandescent light has been improved.
- Reduction of noise for shots with the ISO 1600 set-up.
- The multi-shot function has been improved by increased the number of succe
ssive shots from 2 to 3.

1. 6mps，我比较喜欢的范围是8-12mps，低于8就很容易影响crop的灵活性了
2. 1.5x的sensor
3. 只能用最大2gb的sd卡
4. 想不起来了。。。

几乎都是rd1。
但是回来以后还是把rd1出了，一个是当时leica刚入门，很迷可乐标，另外一个就是资
金只允许一机一镜，于是有你说的那个问题，rd1的分辨率确实不够，crop或者拍ebay
卖品都很麻烦。
其实就是rd1不能当主力机，但是把玩的话真的不错，色彩和操控很赞，尤其是把屏背
过去，扫射一天回来再慢慢review，很有感觉的。而且他的几个黑白滤镜调校的很好，
很有胶片感（要用epson自己的软件解）
其实这次我买回来，也不是说要用它一辈子，我知道没有多久我就会离开它，但是我还
是想拥有它。
就像没有commitment的爱情，你拥有它的时候，就享受吧，到时间了，也不要留它
