prenup before you get married.
A prenup will help in the below ways:
- The most important reason to get a prenup is to save future possible
expense. To prenup a portion of your assets, you will save the time and
expense to discuss that portion of assets with your spouse, your attorney
and your spouse's attorney. Attorney fee in Southern California is around $
350-500 per hour. If you save 4 hours of negotiating time, you save $1200-$
2000 each asset. Trust me, to split a property, you will have to spend way
more than 4 hours to get it done.
- A prenup speed up the divorce process. Again, with a portion of the assets
set aside, you are saving all the time and money to fill in all kinds of
forms, hearings and court house times. It will speed up the whole divorce
case. For woman, time in the 20s and 30s is precious. Since the chance of
getting pregnant is getting lower and lower. You just do not have enough
eggs after 35.
- All community property in California will be half and half split when you
get a divorce without any fault. If you set up a prenup, you are usually the
one earning more. It protects you from losing what you had before marriage.
- Protect your parents. Most people will have some kind of gifts from their
parents. Each party will have some kind of inequality in the marriage. If
you had a prenup and specifically listed the gifts from your parents, again,
you are preventing your ex party from dragging your parents to the divorce
case. It is always nice to save the hassle of getting your parents from
china and other cities when they are getting older.
- It guaranttees you to marry a woman that does not care about your money.
If a woman wants to marry you for love, no matter what, she will marry you.
If she decides to give up you because of a prenup, she is not really into
you.
- I think a prenup somewhat ruined couple's trust. I strongly suggest this
to fix the trust gap. When you sign a prenup, also sign a piece of agreement
called after birth gift. Whenever a woman has your baby, you should send
some gift to her as a Thank you thing. It might be half of what you had
before marriage. 98% of women can't give up their kids. This way, the woman
will have her piece of mind when living in a house without her name in the
title.
Good luck to every one! I strongly suggest that any one without an asset
more than $10,000 do a prenup before you get married. It just gives you
peace of mind. It is nothing about trust. It is about fairness and encourage
people to live on their own. |

有这么多家庭法律师了。结婚5年以上加州就不能快速离婚了，而没有律师，几乎不可
能顺利完成所有的手续。祝你永远不离婚，否则你会直接死在不找律师上。因为你的另
一方会take advantage of everything。

还是很难理解你和你ex的情况。就是因为他的生理问题导致了你们互相浪费了那么多时
间。他有什么理由和颜面再去take 你的advantage。 |

problem,even if it takes forever. Another woman will treat him gently
instead of being disappointed to his health problem. He thought he could
work this problem out and I should have waited forever until he solves his
problem. He thinks it is not a big deal if he shows up 30 mins late in a dr'
s appointment and the dr's apppointment waiting list is indeed 3 months long
. He thinks every thing I did for him is just something that any woman will
do. And any woman should not divorce him if he can not fix his problem, even
if it takes life time and the woman is the single child in the family.
Love is precious. But if you meet some one that does not know how to
appreciate it, you are doomed. A prenup at least can help you economically
not that much doomed and saves you some time. I am throwing out my previous
marriage as an example. You can definitely decide not to go with a prenup.
