strange rubber:

Tried this new rubber last night, don't know why as it doesn't suit my
blocking, spinny loop game but what the heck. The rubber is the strangest
thing I have seen (rubber wise, obviously I've seen a few other strange
sights down the years but I'll keep Silky and Micky Harper's toilet training
out of it).
The sponge is like a piece of black felt, extremely soft and pliable. The
top sheet is also very soft and almost paperlike , the difference is it has
a criss cross of lines across the surface (not pimples). Playing wise it is
quite easy to chop with and you can impart spin due I assume to the lines on
the surface. If someone loops at you (Alsop this time) the rubber does
reverse the spin very well and its quite easy to push with ,but needs a bit
of oomph as the sponge is so soft.
Flat hitting produces some very strange wobbly drives but this requires very
good touch as the rubber is not easy to control when used this way. Really
suited for the old frictionless players and not really a bargain at ￡82 a
sheet ,but someone will undoubtedly try it! |

我们打正常反胶的，也常有”chop blocking" 或者 “chop smashing"的时候，就是击
球时接触的是球体的下半球某个位置。她的这个反手动作，也是接触的球体下半球，但
有明显向前drive的成分，所以从stroke mechanics来说，应该叫chop driving 。

会，主教练刘燕军带了三名队员来中国冬训。他告诉记者，其中有个叫艾米丽·索利亚
的女孩，一头卷发、戴着圆眼镜，被大家称为“哈利·波特”，“不要小瞧她，说不准
是匹黑马。”
打法古怪 得分靠变化
索利亚今年二十岁，已经被确定为奥地利女队征战伦敦奥运会的三号人物。不过。
前提是她能通过明年4月的欧洲区预选赛拿到入场券。主教练刘燕军对此颇有信心，因
为索利亚的打法可以算得上“全世界独一无二”。刘燕军说这话的根据是索利亚处理球
的“反意识”，“对方拉一拍正手，她回过去的球就成了下旋，而不是常规的上旋球，
所以不好接。”据他介绍，索利亚用的是正胶薄海绵，打出来的球发沉，球速偏慢。此
外，她倒板技术熟练，得分主要靠变化。初次与她交手，一开始很难适应。
与索利亚在训练中交手后，李晓霞感觉“确实有点怪”，“她的球速比较慢，路线
也有点不好把握，刚开始确实不习惯，不过慢慢就适应了。”对此，刘燕军有些不以为
然，“这是在放松状态下，比赛时不会给对手时间去适应。”
天赋遗传 父母皆球�
有机会和中国队的顶尖选手切磋，索利亚一脸兴奋：“感觉太好了！真是堂高质量
的训练课！”边擦着汗，她边告诉记者，自己正在练习如何提高球速，和中国队员交手
让她学到很多。
索利亚的父母都是乒乓球运动员。她五岁时第一次拿起球拍，当时家里的地下车库
有张球台，父亲是她的启蒙老师。谈到技术风格，她告诉记者完全是自己摸索出来的，
“怎么顺手就怎么打。”当记者称赞她是天才时，她毫不谦虚：“我也觉得我是，因为
遗传了父母的基因嘛！”
今年圣诞节索利亚没有和家人团聚，而是留在中国训练，“这就是我最好的圣诞礼
物！”她告诉记者，自己热爱乒乓球，也喜欢中国。“这里真是乒乓球的国度，大家都
打得非常棒，国家队选手更是精英中的精英。每次来中国训练，我都很兴奋！”这是索
利亚第六次造访，已经算是“常客”了。“哈利·波特的外号就是中国人给我起的，但
愿我能像他一样受欢迎。” |
