But many people have their reasons to prefer Pittsburgh.
There are many reasons Pgh is better than Philly too. |

UPenn and Temple are right in downtown, which is not considered safe area at
all. But I haven't heard any terrible stories from Chinese students/
scholars. Areas in some suburbs like Valley Forge, West Chester are pretty
good.
In Pgh, not many people are willing to even walk in hazelwood area or hill
district after sunset.
So, there are good areas and bad areas in most cities.
