发帖数: 209 | 1 my driver license is up-to-date till 2016 and issued in PA. But I moved to a
new address, and changed my address on PennDOT last month.
Recently I received a letter from PennDOT tittled "PA Registration revewal
application", it also has a fee of $36. However, when I tried to complete it
online for "driver license renewal", it gave me this error: "You are unable
to renew at this time because the expiration date of your Driver's License/
Photo ID is not within the next 6 months."
So I wonder what's letter really for? just for change address? For that I
already did online.
BTW, my vehicle annual registration date is 5/31. I know in some other state
each year I have to pay car tax/registration + test. I changed my driver
license to PA last year. So, I'm not sure this the same form.

trying to renew your driver's license......
There is no property tax for cars in PA.
PA sends you a renewal notice 6 months before your registration expires. You
dont have to renew it right now but you will need it for inspection. |

Inspection is seprate. Each ticket is $2 i believe, so it would cost the
shop $4 to issue two tickets for you. But they usually charge you $50+ for
emission and general inspections.
I used a coupon on inspection ($19 for general and emssion test)once and the
guy quote me $1000+ repair before
he will pass me. I end up going to another place and passed with no problem
. Just a thought for you.

to be registered, and the fee is $36 in PA. Good luck.
