Description:
A post-doctoral position is available for motivated researcher in the
Molecular Imaging Laboratory, Department of Radiology, University of
Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). The expected start time for this position
is around April 1, 2011. The candidate will be responsible for synthesis,
spectroscopic characterization and imaging of contrast agents for biomedical
imaging.
Qualifications:
The desired candidate should have expertise and publication in organic
synthesis. Instrumental skills with NMR, UV/Vis, Fluorometer, and LCMS are
essential to this position. A candidate with experience in cell biology,
microscopy and in vivo imaging is preferred. The candidate must have a Ph.D.
degree in Organic Chemistry. Applicants should be fluent in English and
should possess good written and verbal communication skills. The position is
available for a one-year initial period, extendable for an additional two
years with satisfactory accomplishment.
