my wife was a J1 visiting student when we met, and now we are married and
she is here in US as a F1 student.
now we are thinking about getting a waiver to clear any hurdle for
future immigration. and one immigration lawyer told us that it is
possible to get a national interest waiver, but he did admit that
he never dealt with government funded students.
My question is that is it even possible to use NIW to get away from
paying back the government fund. |

She can file I-140, but no I-485 before get J waiver.

如果都愿意交25%的罚金了，为什么不收啊？ 难道有很多不收违约金的先例？
