Postdoc 仍然属于training 阶段。
research associate 是 permanent position。比如， RA 有退休计划之类， Postdoc

其实博士后是个统称，即得到博士之后进行的学习、研究、进修经历
所以什么visiting professor，research associate, 以及国内来的访问学者什么的，
都应该算是postdoc

发帖数: 1223 | 13 小弟刚来的时候是国内的交换学生，在学校关联比较紧密的医院做事，头衔是research
associate；
后来换了个地方，是相对独立的医院里面的研究所，头衔是research fellow
然后回国毕业再回来，头衔是post-doc fellow。
反正badge上是这么变迁的，工资就按照NIH的政策，单位福利一直都有。
再往上是Instructor吧，但好像这一级很多人badge上写个Research Scientist什么的 |

你拿到个Res Scientist或者RAP的title再来说一样
在很多单位，完全不一样，待遇，权利等等差别大了

我第一个是researcher,
后来换了学校但还是在一个大基金下，居然给的title是lecture,官方证明含校长宝印
。就看那点收入和职责，这帽子，真不敢带啊。
新坑才算见识了最低职位的繁琐。
还是postdoc安全，要不哪天回国了，被新语丝就不值了。 |
