country. Back then, a lot of factories run into profit margin. They barely
made enough to pay the salaries of workers. The government hoped to use this
new contract system to boost the economy. They had thought the reason why
those factories failed was because the country owned those factories. A
country is only a concept. Nobody felt that they were responsible for the
future of these factories, and they never worked hard in their jobs. So the
government had thought that maybe a piece of contract can fool people to
have a sense of ownership. The fact is that only beautiful things can
cultivate ownership, not a piece of paper.
At that time, my dad was in charge of the economy department. He can
determine who to sign the contract to run some selected factories. Huaqing’
s dad was an ambitious man. Despite of his lack of education, he could be
successful in running a factory. My dad knew that. But I can tell that my
dad was hesitated about something. I asked him about his hesitation.
“This labor contract system is based on "touching stones to cross the river
" idea. There is some recklessness in the idea of "touching stones to cross
the river". I don’t like it. What if the water is getting too deep?”
I can see that my father’s conservative nature may get into Huaqing’s
father’s way. I then said: “Dad, you seem to be really conservative.
Denxiaoping's trip to the south has reviewed that the other side of river
can be good. The southern part of the country is richer and people are
happier there. Denxiaoping just said: white or black, the cats that can
catch rats are good cats. But I guess you are also right. We all know the
bad sides of capitalism. Why Dengxiaoping would suggest us to adopt it. How
can we deal with all those chaos? Depression? Greed?...We all know

晋江贴到第五章的时候就开始在这里登了。现在每天都在晋江贴一点。
