能会被鄙视啦,因为这里都是搞quant的精英,但是想来想去可能也只有这里有人对hedge
fund比较了解, 所以希望能得到点建议.
Have always thinking of switching to i-banks/hedge fund/private equity
industry. Has pursued with a recruiter.
An opportunity was offered from a medium size hedge fund for an back/middle
office role--- first with fund accounting group and then can transit to
daily P/L and valuation group.
Feel it is more of an operational role, | h**********r

across such opportunities yet.
It seems that career opportunities are really path dependent. | w********c

product control, up to controller and cfo.

发帖数: 53 | 4 It is not easy to do internal transfer within a hedge fund, especially from
operation role to investment team. Typically, hedge fund needs people coming
from analyst program in I-bank. In my firm, 85% is coming from that path (
most from GS and MS). However, there is always a hope. I saw one guy in my
firm coming from a career path similar to you, which is from Auditing to
equity research. I don't know how is that guy's story to be hired. But he
has done auditing for 7 years and now covers finan |
