this is much better than Crack's. There're more questions and the book also
covers programming. (No specific C++ questions, though.) The author,
Xinfeng, spent 2 years on the book. It also qualifies for free shipping on
Amazon. :)
To the other question: yes, there's a big demand for such books. Quant
interviews are getting tougher, so people want to be better prepared.

The book recommended here is good for you if you are quite confident about
your skillset and need to practice yourself in the sense of interview. |

each chapter begins with a brief overview of the key concepts (like a quick
refresher), and each problem is solved in detail, with the solution
providing a clear logical path to the final answer.
And unlike Crack, Zhou does not tell you "if you cannot solve this on your
own, consider yourself stupid" -- that's the most annoying thing about Crack
's book.
Finally, Crack's book was written for MBA students, whereas Zhou's wa

1. This book is self [ublished on lulu.com, a website offers to publish book
as long as you pay. A self-published book on lulu.com cost only a few
hundred dollars at top.
2. Most of the content are intellectual copycat. You guys are quant? !
Quant don't do this kind of cheap shot.
3. Only Chinese will cheat Chinese fellows this way. I feel sad for such a
famous ID selling this ugly scheme.

Finally, Crack's book was written for MBA students, whereas Zhou's was
written specifically for non-MBA people looking to get into the quant field:
MS, Ph.D., BA/BS, etc.

the street". I used other books for the first quant interview. Then I came
back to look at this "a pratical..." book and found this book actually had
better contents for that interview! of course I did not have many interviews
and my experiences might be biased. |
