手每天开会讨撤蛋. 突然觉得投入产出太不成比例(开会撤蛋很辛苦的).而且碰到一变
态40多岁的老中做顶头上思(那种压榨同胞,排白人马屁的), 年初辞了.
最近转入金融和一堆老印门为伍, backoffice support.级别是经理, 但手下无兵. 自
己还是能温故而知新宝刀不老直接参与coding/testing,但发现大部份烙印们的水平不
是一般的差. 想考CFA往前台转,不少有水平的同胞和老尤,想和聪明的在一起. 请问如
何? 有戏吗? | p***z

问问, 35左右准备CFA, 和比较okay的IT背景,在金融界能有多大发展空间,10年能赚多
少? 有朋友37岁进街道, 十年后夫妻两人年薪50万(从报税聊天猜测的),很佩服,希望能
学着他们. 街上的确牛人华人非常多,希望这里的前辈多指教.
私下想赚的差不多后,47/8退休回学校或回国做老本行生化模拟当老师? 有关系户进国
内TOP学校做自己喜欢的,但钱太少,也不相信国内所谓的灰色收入.

Frankly, CFA and IT exp is a weird combination, it might be hard to find a

发帖数: 301 | 8 不好意思,自己也觉得很惭愧, 以前没有见过钱, 两口子年薪50万美刀觉得很不错了,
尤其是觉得人家快40了才转行,自己很佩服他们.
和亿万富翁也见过聊过,那是命,觉得自己没有必要强求自己. 而50万绝的是通过后起努
力还是有望的...见笑了

To be a mutual fund manager, CFA is a plus, however, it also takes around 10
yrs investment exp, advanced degree from finance/economics (not hardcore
science/engineering/math, some manager has the stat background though)
Just consider the size of a mutual fund, you will know the responsibility.
BTW, pure quant is not the quant developer in my post. With your IT exp, I would suggest you try the quant developer - algo trader path.

一大把顶尖名校商学院的MBA都想做mutual fund manager，当然也有Quant背景的做到

发帖数: 1481 | 18 你这种背景，比较现实的Path是做Quant Developer，跳几次槽大概能跳到Front
Office Developer。不过还是IT，跟Front Office 的Trader ， 纯Quant 还是不一样
的，拿钱还是比他们少得多，不过比大部分的人都赚得多了。

see if you have the passion and talent for it. You have a tech background
and there are many tech stocks. You will need to understand some
financial statements but not necessarily a CFA (just like most things
learned in school, not that useful in the real world).
