Role of the Insurance Strategist
The Insurance Strategy Group designs and develops comprehensive investment
management solutions customized to meet the investment objectives and
relevant constraints of our global insurance clients.
The Strategists use quantitative techniques and industry knowledge to
develop real-world solutions for the group’s clients. The Strategists
participate in meetings and presentations designed to build relationships
and pursue commercial opportunities with institutional clients and prospects
alongside other members from the group, the sales team, and portfolio teams
. Common investment questions include: strategic asset allocation, asset-
liability matching, tax and capital efficiency, and risk budgeting. The
successful candidate is comfortable developing, using, and explaining
financial models in a non-technical and intuitive way, in order to answer
clients’ investment-related questions.
Overall Responsibilities include:
Advisory and Strategic Partnerships
•Leverage investment strategy capabilities to provide ALM and
liability driven solutions where applicable
•Provide advice related to the strategic asset allocation of the
investment portfolio across all asset classes
•Working collaboratively with portfolio managers and investment
strategists, propose optimal portfolio benchmarks, investment policy limits
and guidelines
•Facilitate development of strong ALM, ERM, and economic capital
management processes
Qualifications/Job Requirements:

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Strong communication and presentation skills
•Strong execution and organizational skills
•Self-motivated with ability to work across the firm and industry
•Proven commercial success
•Demonstrated strong analytical skills and programming experience
•Minimum 2 years of experience related to at least one of: investments
