背景：我出国5年，没回过国，签证H1B。父母退休7年，首次出国和签证。家有兄妹在
国内。
准备：根据版上近期的签经帖子，总结了18个问题，写了邀请信(见后，单刀直入，个
性化以使签证官愿意读完，未必通用)， 并向父母解释宗旨和每个问题的隐含意图（见
后）。练习了几次，他们已经能够用自己的话象聊天一样有针对性地回答所有问题。模
拟演练了两次，每次3-5分钟，问问题1，2和另一个问题。让他们知道每次谈话其实只
有几分钟的时间。如果不停地被问18个问题以外的东西，说明签证官可能怀疑什么了，
基本也就没有什么希望了（因为没有解释的时间）。回答问题熟练自然，如和老街坊聊
天，最好不要下意识地结巴停滞，给人造成背书的印象（怀疑回答的真实性）。所有材
料用透明文件夹装好后，加中文小标签，以方便需要的时候能够迅速找到。我背景里有
些硬伤，告诉他们如果被问到，一定诚实回答。被拒不要紧，别说假话搞个永久被拒，
下次还有机会。其他的准备如希望他们的着衣打扮要和自己的存款以及自己描述的身份
相符，不能象平时那样过分简朴（资金来源可疑），或太夸张（伪装）。连材料带练习
准备了大概10天左右。准备充分了就会很自信。尽人事，听天命。
签经：签证官一直很热情地笑着问问题。她只看了确认页和护照。
VO:你们到美国干什么？
M：很想儿子，想去看看他。也想看看美国的风景，旅游一下。
VO：那想去玩多久呢？
M：大概3个月吧。
VO：好的，希望你们在美国玩得开心！
就通过了。

签证官问题
不管第一句话说什么，都要递上两人的DS160确认页，护照，邀请信，材料清单。其他
材料放在签证官视野能见的地方。
宗旨：来探亲旅游，只要能够自行负担在美国的费用，而且不打算超期长久住下来就好
（这个专指探亲旅游签证。如果想长期居留，可以依附子女申请绿卡，走不同的程序罢
了），美国的政策是不但允许而且欢迎的。美国观念极重视人性和家庭，不可以让夫妻
分居，家人离散。所以以家庭为理由的调换工作，请假等等，在美国都是最强有力的理
由，无可辩驳。
1）去过美国没有？
(问题意图：了解一下访美或访其他国家的历史，如果以前访问时没有过超期滞留的问
题，说明会按期回国)
2）去美国干什么？
（问题意图：必问问题。了解去美国的意图，察颜观色判断所言是否真实。超期相关。）
3）你孩子为什么这么长时间没有回来过？
（问题意图：家庭关系是否正常属实，是否会因孩子不能回来而赴美后超期留美）
4）你孩子在美国干吗？
（问题意图：家庭关系是否正常属实）
5）你孩子什么时候去的美国？
（问题意图：家庭关系是否正常属实。不属实则赴美别有意图）
6）你们退休了吗？
（问题意图：了解工作和收入情况，能否负担此次探亲旅游费用，而不对美国造成经济
负担）

8）有没有房产证？
（问题意图：与国内的联系是否不可放弃）

邀请信，解释三个问题：我出费用；父母会3个月后返回；我为什么很久没有回国。
Dear Visa Officer,
This is to support the first time B1/B2 visa application of my parents, XXX
and XXX. I need your kind help to see my Mom and Dad. They are planning to
travel to the United States in early January. Please do understand that I
will cover the trip cost, and they will return to China after a 3-month
visit.
I am an employee of XXX and I am working at XXXX on XXXX, particularly, on
the XXXX. Please feel free to ask my parents for my status and financial
documents including copies of I-797/I-94 forms, pay stubs, and bank
statements if necessary. I will cover all the financial cost related to my
parents' visit to the US including, but not limited to, round-trip flight
tickets, medical insurance, domestic travel expenses, living, and food. My
annual income is about $XX,XXX and I have over $10,000 in my banking
accounts. Besides, my parents insisted to use part of their savings (over ￥
250,000 Chinese Yuan in their banking accounts) as a backup funding. So,
absolutely there is no potential burden will be added to US government.
My parents will come to stay with me in XXX for only three months and then
return to China because their whole lives are in China. They have their own
house in China and they have two other child, my elder brother and younger
sister, in China. My parents are also taking care of my little nephew (
almost 1 year old) for my sister. The motivation for them to visit the US is
to see me as well as tourism. Actually they will return to hometown after
the trip because it is too hard for them to live for a long time in a
foreign country without hanging out with their old friends, doing their
favorite team sports, and enjoying their favorable TV programs.
I am so excited that I’m going to enjoy the coming Spring Festival with my
parents here in the XXXX. Due to a tight work schedule in the past a few
years, I was not able to find a long enough break to take a vacation back to
China. I really feel sorry for that. It is not easy for them to finally
decide to come for a short trip because they have never traveled out of the
mainland China and they don’t know English. We will enjoy some happy family
time in XXXX and I am planning to arrange some trips to Vegas and Hawaii
for them. I hope they will enjoy the XXXXX and the precious time with me.
