My name is Xxxxxxx, a principal controls engineer at xxxxxx. I am writing
this letter to support my parents’ visa application.
I wish to invite my father, xxxxxx, and my mother, xxxxxx, to visit me and
celebrate the Chinese New Year together for the first time in nine years.
Since the first day that my Ph.D. program started in 2004, my parents and I
have been missing each other very much. In the past years, we had phone
calls or internet chat every week. Moreover, I traveled back to China and
visited my parents once or twice every year. However, I always want my
parents to share my life here in southern California and have a taste of
this great country USA.
My parents are planning to go back to our hometown xxxx and celebrate my
grandma’s birthday in April. Therefore, the flight tickets for them are
leaving from xxxx on 01/23/2013 and returning on 03/27/2013. Besides
spending most of their time on the west coast, they would like to travel to
some major cities on the east coast. I will also take my parents to xxxxxx,
where I spent about seven years for my degree. Professor xxxxx, my very good
friend and Ph.D. advisor at xxxxxx University, promised me a party for my
family union during our visit.
In the past few decades, my parents have achieved and maintained a decent
financial success by doing small business. Currently, they own a fast food
restaurant and manage some investments in commercial real estate
properties. They also have many residential properties in the city of xxxxx
and a good amount of savings. Hence, they will cover most of their own
travel expense.
Please assist them in receiving a tourist visa so that all these wonderful
things could happen to us. Thank you for your time and kind consideration
of the attached visa application.
