发帖数: 4931 | 1 Finally had a good sleep and woke up in the afternoon. I've heard from a
local ultra runner that the skyline trail in the middlesex fells reservation
is a good place to train. So I gathered my stuff in a small backpack and
headed out for an adventure. It took me 50 minutes to get to the trails. And
it was spectacular. I would have never thought that I could find a real
technical trail so close to Cambridge. The skyline trail is full of rocks
and challenging terrain. Though it does not involve big climbs, the trail
itself is a lot rougher than the one I experienced in Oakland last month. It
brought back memories of hiking trips in the suburb of Beijing when I was
in high school. Part of the fun of trail running, when you are not racing,
is to try to follow the trail and figure out where to go, which isn't always
obvious. At some point I got quite lost and found myself going in circle.
It was a great workout and a good preparation at least mentally for next
weekend's bear mountain adventure. Didn't want to wear myself out and it was
getting late, so I found my way out and ended up at Davis square after 2.5
hours of running and ate a nice dinner. Bought chocolate and whiskey on the
way home - a wonderful way to spend a summer evening. (Yeah that's right,
there are only three seasons in New England - winter, summer, and fall.) |

navigating with your own headlight, add some wild animals, and you've got a
real trail ultra.:)

marathon at leadville.
I'm still trying to decide between NB MT101 and adidas trail shoes for next
weekend. MT101 felt good for now but I'm not sure if I can handle all 50
miles in trail flats.

我也有adidas XT，跑过几次,有碎石的trail上脚弓和前脚掌特难受。
用MT101有那个rock plate，完全不必有这种疑虑。

picture, you see the white mark on the tree. That's the marking for the
trail.

them with your headlamp.
It's also pretty important to keep your focus at all time. If one trips and sprain an ankle, then it's game over.

两层袜子倒是可能引起更多的相对摩擦。
路上小石头和沙子会钻进鞋子，可以弄个 gaiter
