from the date of filling to the date of getting the card through marriage
to a US citizen? During this time, can the applicant leave the nation? I
have heard it takes a lot longer here. I am asking for my friend.

批准通知就可以回国。
不过绿卡是条件绿卡，过几年才能转正

1) I am not implying anything in my post. Watching Avatar has nothing to do
with the Iraqi war at hand.
2) LZ is not the lucky bride anyway. Her friend is.
3) What The Proposal could present includes scenes happening during the
immigration interview (twice) and questions that might be asked therein.
4) Don't you think it is a funny movie to watch?
5) The second time they married, it was for real!
