Most people go to Oregon for tax-free shopping. If you want to buy a
Tiffany engagement ring, going to Oregon will probably save you the round-
trip ticket right there. ;)
Portland is famous for having a lot of great food at a very cheap price. If
you are in Portland downtown, then google for "street cart." There are
plenty of guides for that.
My all-time favorite places are:
Le bistro Montage http://www.yelp.com/biz/le-bistro-montage-portland, very good Cajun jambalaya, very good hang-out place if you go their with friends, kinda like a Bar, or a pub. Don't forget their Oyster shooters or Mississippi Mud Pie if you are into that sort of things.
Saburo http://www.saburos.com/Sushi/Saburos.html. How do I describe this place? I don't think I will be able to find another one like it in the entire US. You sign up in front of the door and wait from 45 min to an hour and half depending on the situation. But I assure you it's worth the wait if you are into Sushi. It's very very cheap compared with other Sushi restaurants anywhere, and the portion is huge. We usually just get Sashimi because of it. The quality is excellent. At this time of the year, they may also have fatty tuna as well, which is my favorite.
Try Pizza Schmiza if you are in a hurry. It's a local chain sprinkled
around the city that has very good Pizza. You can get them by slices.
Wong's King (8733 SE Division St, Portland, OR 97266-1467 (503) 788-8883)
has pretty decent Dim Sum. But otherwise, I would not be looking for
Chinese food in Portland.
Enjoy your trip, lucky man. | j****q 发帖数: 85 | 6 NO, 开车就用两天了. 飞过去.
