一、镇江新区简介
镇江新区（镇江经济技术开发区）位于镇江市东部，由1992年设立的镇江经济开发区和
1993年设立的镇江大港经济开发区，于1998年6月合并组建而成，2010年4月升级为国家
级经济技术开发区。下辖3个镇、2个街道，总面积218.9平方公里，人口27万。现有国
家级大学科技园、国家级镇江高新技术创业服务中心、中国镇江留学人员创业园、国家
级光电子与通讯原器件产业基地、中国镇江出口加工区、国家级沿江绿色化工产业基地
等6个国家级载体品牌，已成为全球单厂规模最大的高档铜版纸生产基地、中国最大的
工程塑料粒子基地、中国最大的汽车发动机缸体生产基地和中国最大的可调螺旋桨生产
基地。
经过19年的开发建设，镇江新区综合实力不断增强，产业结构日趋优化，科技创新优势
日益显现。特别是近年来，镇江新区驶入了发展的快车道。在2011年9月商务部发布的
2010年度国家级经济技术开发区投资环境综合评价报告中，镇江新区在全国128家国家
级开发区中名列第24位，在新升级的36家国家级开发区中名列第2位。2011年实现
GDP304亿元，同比增长12.8%；完成一般预算收入31亿元，同比增长51.3%；完成固定资
产投资450亿元，增长40.7%；完成规模工业销售922亿元，同比增长39.3%；完成新兴产
业工业销售收入401亿元，同比增长39.2%；引进创新创业人才（团队）60个、其中领军
型人才（团队）25个，引进培育国家“千人计划”专家3人，入选省“双创计划”人才
