中新网5月8日电 据美国《世界日报》报道，如果说美国加州城市有一个华裔居民占八
、九成的小区，人们会首先联想华埠人口稠密的老人公寓。然而在高科技人才荟萃的圣
地亚哥崭新住宅区“Park Terramar”，108户人家中竟也有华人80多户，难免让人啧啧
称奇，成为不折不扣的“中国村”。
每天清晨，“Park Terramar”小区的林荫道上总会响起悠扬的中国乐曲，成群的
华裔长辈踏着节拍翩然起舞。黄昏时分在区内散步，迎面而来的也总是笑容可掬的华人
邻居。连附近的“Alberson”美国超市，收款员也学会了用普通话说“你好”、“谢谢
”、“再见”，因为结伴前来购物者，多数是这些从神州各地初到美国的新移民。
随着圣地亚哥生物技术、无线通讯两大行业的迅猛发展，中国大陆留学人员愈来愈
多地投身其中，并纷纷经由专业移民途径定居于此。不几年，一个个小家庭先后组成，
一批批华人后代问世。接着，从大陆各省市退休的爷爷奶奶们、外公外婆们也不远万里
飞临此地，担负起照料第三代的神圣使命。
至于80多户华人为何作出同样的选择，迁入落成未久的“Park Terramar”小区，
据说是纯属巧合。这个新区离当地高科技基地、大学校园都不远，附近还有口碑不错的
小学、初中与高中，重视教育的华人家庭自然觉得正中下怀，所以便不约而同，来此置
产安家。
最早搬进“Park Terramar”第一期开发区的华人长辈，是来自上海的黄可惠、潘
敏春夫妇。他们与女儿女婿及三个外孙女同住，一家七口，其乐融融。黄可惠见多识广
，古道热肠，经常给后来的同胞提供种种有用的讯息，例如就医、购物、交通、旅游、
移民等等，连逛超市也会呼朋唤友，邀约大家一同前往。久而久之，老年朋友们亲切地
称他为“Park Terramar”的“村长”。
老伴潘敏春也是乐于助人的“大姐级”人物，逢年过节，总会请同“村”的华人长
辈们到家中小聚。有时她做几样拿手的上海点心，让大家品尝；有时则每家每户各带一
味，共同分享。遇有新来者抵埠，或回国定居者出发，他俩也会主办迎送活动。潘敏春
还有一手理发的技艺，不分男女，老少通吃，分文不取，所以极受众人好评。
目前定居在“Park Terramar”小区的华人长辈，以来自江浙沪三地者居多，也有
原籍北京、河北、福建、安徽、江西、吉林、四川、湖北的移民。早到者已经旅居圣地
亚哥17年，迟来者去年才安家于此，年纪普遍在65岁至75岁之间。退休前，他们是画家
、总工程师、中学校长、公务员、会计师、销售代表，甚至还有考古专家，可谓藏龙卧
虎，人才济济，现在则扮演着命运赋予的相同角色——操持家务、照料孙辈。
赴美依亲的年长人士最怕的是孤独，最愁的是没有倾吐心声的机会。但在“Park
Terramar”，华人们生活在团结友爱的氛围中，有乐趣、有知音，与几十位“同声同气
”的邻里一起，安度晚年，日子过得有滋有味。(李大明) |

Elementary, Mesa Verde Middle, and Westview High. 本版有几个名ID住在那里，呵

有个房子和本版著名ID一个户型，带high ceiling的
做好了前院后院，整个楼下铺好了实木地板
其它地方也有一些升级项目，比方说做好了书房，楼下有个客人套房
价格还优惠了不少
可惜有点路冲 |

thought 李大明 is talking abt terramar but he is actually writing abt park
terramar.

When you live in this kind of community, your parents and children may be
happier because they may have more friends to hang out with. You may not,
because there may be too much peer pressure.
When you are not living in a community with excellent school options, you
may feel that you short changed your children. Yet, once you move into such
a community, you start to worry that there is too much competitiveness
there and you kind of robbed a 'happy childhood' from the kid.
The important things are whether you have a neighbor that you can count on
to help to watch your child when there is an emergency, whether there is a
friend who can sit down to cry with when you need someone's shoulder to lean
on. Just want to take the chance to thank my special dear friends in 4S and
Terramar. Thank you for always being there for me in good times and bad, in
joy as well as sorrow.
