Essential Duties include the following (other responsibilities may also be
assigned):
• Design, develop and maintain/enhance the QA automation software
• Design, implement and document test cases and add test cases to
the automated test suites
• Track and report on test status
• Minimize defects through early involvement with project teams
• Defect reporting and tracking
• Identify and execute the manual test coverage
• Work with other QA engineers to establish and maintain best
practices and methodologies
• Development and setup of test servers and test setups including
Zigbee and BLE/WiFi networks
• System level research and specification
• Close interaction with developers, product management, and
customers, and operations
• Participation in scheduling and prioritization
Requirements:
• Hands-on development and coding in Python, Java utilizing common
QA test frameworks in order to develop and maintain automation suites
• Experience with SQA methodology and processes.
• Working knowledge in testing frameworks (Selenium, unit testing
frameworks)
• Develop strategy and execute against it to improve the overall
health of the automation suites for the team
• Experience with Linux
• Familiarity with databases, preferably MySQL
• Experience in testing web technologies including web sites, APIs,
and RESTful Web Services
• Good understanding of Cloud based technologies
• Experience with iOS and Android development testing (a Plus)
• Experience testing on cross-browser platforms required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative development
methodology (Agile-SCRUM)
• Great communication skills. Ability to collaborate on, and
document solutions
• Experience working in a small, close-knit team with a high degree
of shared development
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science,
Engineering or related field required
