发帖数: 1123 | 1 After I becamse US citizen, I started my parents immigration petition (Along
with their separate application, I submitted my birth notarization with my
parent's names on it)
Now My mother's petition got approved. but my father's case needs addition
document - i.e. marriage certificate.
It seems that father's case needs more document than mother's.
What if they could not find their marriage certificate any more?
Has anybody gone through the same challenge?

in US or in China? If in US, how many monthes after they came you applied?

发帖数: 13261 | 8 为了稳妥起见，还是叫您的父母开个结婚证（补发版），然后再公证。父母结婚证挺重
要的，以后帮他们处理房子，财产等等问题还是用的上的。本人亲有体会。

I applied for my dad after two weeks of his arrival.

Still have to finish the rest of the process (inc. interview at consulate in
