Description
In this position, you will be part of the Graphics Software Engineering
team in Visual and Parallel Computing Group and you will be working with
other talented software engineers to deliver DXVA driver and related/similar
supports for media algorithms design and verification for Intel integrated
graphics products. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Design and implement Encoding/Decoding support for MPEG2, WMV9/VC1, H.264,
and other industry standards
- Implement the latest DXVA DDI and/or Intel proprietary interfaces, and
support the future Windows graphic architectures
- Analyze performance and optimize the media driver on various Intel
platforms running different operating systems to maximize the codec
performance
- Build the cutting edge video codec functions on next generation of graphic
processors
- Interact with other teams in all product life cycles and deliver advanced
media codec drivers
Qualifications
You must possess at least a Master or a Bachelor of Science degree in
Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. Additional qualifications
include:
- 2+ years of industry experience (or equivalent) in software development
- Strong skills in C and/or C++ programming and using debugging tool
- Thorough understanding of operating systems architectures, and kernel/user
mode programming
- Experienced in Microsoft Windows programming
- Ability to understand and/or interpret graphics driver requirements and
designs based on hardware, operating system or industry specifications
- In-depth understanding on video compression standards
- Experience on video codec programming and/or DXVA driver development is a
plus
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- A self-starter with the ability to work effectively both independently and
in a team across multiple sites
