all business need advertisement, need to let customers to discover them
Google grabed the search ads which is one of the most profitable area
yelp/groupon have the chance to grab another one. groupon basically sells
ecoupons, local business provides deals to attract customers, customers even
prepaid them, although at a discount. it will bring lots of first time
customers
and hopefully some of them will stay.
let's say for a restaurant, ads on google is a way to bring in customers
groupon is another way
think about how big the local business market is. you know why google is
going
after yelp, then groupon, and they both rejected google's offer |
