I have a GC1, got it 5 or 6 yrs ago brand new (made in japan, not sure if
they still make them in Japan or China or somewhere else?), its sound is
good, but not significantly better than U1 that my friend has.
Compare to upright, it uses considerably more space, even though it is still
entry level size. So make sure you'll have place for it.
Back to my first question - I bought it because I thought it's a better
piece of furniture even if nobody plays it :) fortunately my kid likes to
play (sort of)

发帖数: 1136 | 5 老中买雅马哈大多是因为将来好出手。但立式的才好出手。三角的雅马哈保值性不如立
式的。湾区大多数家庭住的房子都不大。三角太占面积。所以立式的市场需求远大于三
角。而富有一点的人又看不上入门级的雅马哈三角琴。所以以后GC1要出手得打折很多。
个人觉得要么雅马哈立式琴，要么斯坦威旧的或新的三角琴。三角琴里最保值的就是斯
坦威了。其他任何琴没有得比。 |

赚。但是亏得少。东部很多老美家里斯坦威是代代相传的。八十年前一两千块钱买的斯
坦威三角琴现在能卖一万多。其它的琴早就处理掉了。

By the way, we Chinese here in California always buy something with resell
value as the top priority?
buy car - resell value first
buy house - same,
buy piano - same
Is there anything that we buy and the sole reason is to use and enjoy it?

当你拥有的时候，应该也可以use and enjoy到这些优点吧？
而且将来容易脱手，因为很多人因为身份工作的因素，可能会搬家或者回国
卖掉以后，实际成本比resale value低的东西还要低。
除非有什么正好符合你的需求的优点，不然为什么要买resale value低的东西呢？

钢琴都差不多。
全世界90%以上的钢琴音乐会都用斯坦威。绝大多数顶尖的音乐学院，包括中国中央音
乐学院，里的钢琴系是100%用斯坦威。这个可不是吹牛吹得出来的。

如果你古典钢琴听得比较多的话有可能会觉得它声音不太一样。

you definitely need to have best piano that you can afford.
(after you upgrade your audio system, of course)
斯坦威is the better piano, no doubt about it. period.
The problem is that not everyone can afford one. - Those guys who drive a
toyota also know there are better cars out there.

还是46000块买个BMW基本配置的X5呢？基本上就是yamaha grand 和 Steinway grand

年代的琴原装没整修过的应该也就一万多嘛。他把我叫到琴的后面，指指Plate说，你
知道那个签名是谁吗？Rachmaninoff!
我当时就有点热血沸腾的感觉。:）
原来那是个私人寄卖的琴。这琴最早是Rachmaninoff的Tuner的，据说是
Rachmaninoff用了一阵子后转卖给他的。
这个签名就值好几千块。:( |

比。卖琴的人说有Original Document。如果owner的名字的确是他的tuner，那就不太
会是假的了。
是啊。如果你弹琴的时候，知道Rachmaninoff也曾在同样的琴键上舒展过他的手指，那种滋味很难言喻。
