or social engineering. They are just against big left wing goverment and

The problem is that Ron Paul is tea party's least favorite candidate
despite that he was one the earliest supporter of tea party movement
and his son is a conspicuous figure in tea party movement. If we look
at the poll, tea party votes went to Rick Santorum most, then Newt
Gingrich, then Mitt Romeny. The least went to Ron Paul. Many of those
folks hate Ron Paul more than they hated Barack Obama. These
people basically stopped short of calling Paul the Public Enemy but it is
obvious that they regard him as dangerous and anti-american. It also shows
in the polls of the issues, despite the claim that their number 1 goal is
to cut the goverment and cut spending, Tea party members overwhelmingly
~90% are against reducing or reforming defense spending.
If you look at the record and the agenda of the now tea party favorite, Rick
Santorum, you will be shocked what this guy has done and is up to. Rick
Santorum is a king of pork. He put in numerous earmarks in his years in
the senate. He famously argued that earmark is a right of the sentates!
With that right, he made himself a multimillion by working as a senate
for Pennsylvania without even living in PA.
His plan to fix the economy is even more jaw dropping. With all the fan
-fares of tea party inspired tax reform plans including Herman Cain's
9-9-9 and Rick Perry's postcard plan, some of Santorum's ideas are even
more bizzare. One of his proposal was to triple the child credit! Another
of his idea is to reduce the tax of certain of his favorite industry
or corporation to zero. Talk about social engineering, I doubt there is
any one worse than this guy.
The choice at the voting booth tells every thing. Tea party talks the talk
but does not walk the walk. They would scacrifice their so called fiscal
principles for the advance of their social agena without a blink.
That is why the tea party congress achieved nothing, and Obama is very
very likely to win this re-election.
