HSA is more expensive, you should use your ppo.
As long as you enroll HSA, you are qualified. | m****r
发帖数: 243 | 3 Might not be that simple. Since now you have two insurance plans, you have
to know which one is the primary. If your primary is PPO, it will be used
first and I don't think HSA can pay for the uncovered part. (Actually I seem
to remember the high deductible has to be your primary to be able to
contribute to HSA but I could be wrong) Better ask the HR from the company
giving your wife offer, or get the contact of the HSA company to ask them

发帖数: 7506 | 5 just do not use HSA. I used it before, it should be more expensive than PPO.
you must be very young and healthy, in that case, either plan will be just
fine. you only get some short term benefit when using HSA.
for example, when you have a kid, your wife needs to go regular check, it is
easy to max out your HSA out of pocket money each year.
you should be alright as long as you are using HSA. you have issues when you
stop HSA and still use HSA fund, you need to pay 10% penalty. happened to
me. plus, CA does not have any tax benefit for HSA.
