Joan is also the chairman of 教育委员会。SCA 5 去州众议院之前需通过教育委员

Hi Patt,
Pls let Joan know that we are very serious about this SCA5 bill. This bill
will put great danger to our kids, who have worked so hard in school, and
may ended up not be able to go to UC because of their race, this is unfair
to them.
There's already changes to UC admission just recently that allows the top 9%
of every high school students to go to UC, so every race have a chance, as
long as they work hard in their school.
Also, with SCA5, college admission will be based on race, not merit, this
does not show the value that our society has, and it will downgrade UC
system, and eventually put a worse impact back to UC.
So we would like Joan to consider blocking this bill in the education
committee, this will make history.
